The Lidar Telescope

The CLUE experiment Telescope.

We use a re-aliminized telescope of the CLUE experiment. Equiped with a 1.8m diameter UV mirror at F1.0. Reflectivity was measured after recoonditioning at 95% for the UV. For protection it is equiped with four motorized pedals, that protect the mirror during non operation but also from straight light during day operations.

Mounting

Typical Alt-Azimuth mount. All motors are absolute encoded one. Gears used permit to park and unpark the telescope in less than 40 sec. A blet mecanism is used for the Altitude movement, while geared one for the site.

Mirror View

The Polychromator is rigidly mounted on the back structure of the telescope. All relevant electronics also. Mirror kept protected by the four motorized petals.
